Music: Wailin Jennys

I have very few bands for which I will buy all their CDs and never tire of their music.  Thanks to Cynthia once upon a time in FL, I was introduced to the Jenneys.

The Wailin Jenneys are a 3 woman trio with admirable vocal quality, poetic lyrics, impressive instrumental skills (each plays several instruments), and riveting harmonies.  This Canadian group sings soulful, folk-inspired music with a dash of gospel, jazz, and English/Irish/Welsh ballads.

My husband and I were absolutely mesmerized at their concert this week.  Live YouTube vids. do nothing to show the haunting beauty of their perfect harmonization and the gracefulness and passion with which they play their instruments.

That being said, here are some clips to check out:

To get a sense of their harmony and chill style:

Oh...and love the new design!
